How to Look Polished and Put Together : Step 4

Updated: May 25, 2023

One of the most common things that I hear from women is how they can look polished and put together.

If this is something you would like to achieve, I'm going to breakdown the Pathway to Polish in four easy steps, and in this post, I'll be focusing on the fourth and final step on the Pathway to Polish so that you can look polished and put together.

And this step is all about the details.

These small things are often the things that can have the biggest impact on achieving an overall polished look, and if they're not taken care of, they can undermine the image you're trying to put across.

So, to make sure you don't overlook anything, every time before you've got a big meeting or you’re heading out the door to work, do a test and assess.

Stand in front of a full-length mirror, take your whole image in from top to toe, and ask yourself, "is everything as it should be?"

It's important to check on these simple things:

  • Can you see wrinkles or creases on your clothing?

  • Is there hair or fluff that needs to be taken care of?

  • Can you see any visible underwear lines or bra straps on display?

  • If you wear stockings, are there any runs in them?

  • Are your shoes polished and in good condition?

  • Are your nails clean and well trimmed and maintained?

  • Are your teeth clean and breath fresh?

Paying attention to the details and then taking care of them pulls everything together, and makes you look put together.

Give yourself the gift of just two minutes each morning to do a test and assess and make sure that everything is as it should be. Then, you can walk out the door knowing that you've got this!

This is the final part in my four steps on the Pathway To Polish - you can find the other key steps in the series here.
